New World Aeternum Daily and Weekly Gold Sources Guide

There are several activities you can do in New World Aeternum on a daily and weekly basis to obtain Gold in that do not involve using the Tradepost.

Daily Gathering – Hidden Stash

You can get three Hidden Stashes per day from gathering trade skills. Simply do some Harvesting, Mining and Logging until you have 3 Hidden Stashes (they are not a guaranteed drop but have a very high chance to drop). Hidden Stashes contain Motes and Gold. The amount of Gold is randomised between 50 and 200 Gold.

Daily Major Corrupted Portals or Elysian Wilds Bosses – Lost Sack of Coins

Completing Major Corrupted Portals rewards you with a Major Breach Cache. The first two caches you open will contain a Lost Sack of Coins with 250 Gold in them.

Alternatively, you can earn two Lost Sack of Coins per day from killing two Bosses in Elysian Wilds. You can find bosses using the map (they can spawn in multiple locations), they are marked as crowned skulls (see map image below).

Daily Faction Missions

If you’re maxed out on Faction Tokens, you can do Faction Missions to earn some extra Gold. Soloable PvE missions that reward the most Gold (237.50) are located in Cutlass Keys and Elysian Wilds. Keep in mind that some Cutlass Keys PvE Missions require you to go into the Free for All PvP area (since they’re PvE Missions, they won’t reset on death). Some Elite PvE missions in other zones such as Brimstone Sands or Ebonscale Reach will also reward 237.50 Gold.

For those of you who enjoy Expeditions, you can grab the Expedition missions that pop up instead. Expedition Missions generally give more Gold than solo PvE Missions (amount varies depending on zone). Cutlass Keys also sometimes has Missions for the Hive of the Gorgon Raid.

Daily Random Expeditions – Expedition Bonus Cache

Completing a Random Expedition through the Activity Finder rewards you with an Expedition Bonus Cache. You can do up to three Random Expeditions per day (Daily Bonus).

You can also get a bonus cache for queuing in an on demand role (Tank or Healer).

Daily Random Mutated Expeditions – Mutator Bonus Cache

Completing a random Mutated Expedition via the Activity Finder, will reward you with a Mutator Bonus Cache. You can earn two Mutator Bonus Caches a day (Daily Bonus).

Weekly – Cache of Gold-N-Matter

Once a week, you can craft a Cache of Gold-N-Matter at a Gypsum Kiln. It costs 20 Gypsum orbs.

Other Gold Sources

• Seasonal Events – some events such as the Summer Medley Faire, Winter Convergence, Springtide Bloom etc. will have centrepiece in each Settlement. Interacting with each centrepiece will reward a box that contains gold and other event specific items.
• Elite Chest Runs – ECR’s are a low effort way to earn gold not just from mob kills and chests, but from salvaging unwanted pieces of gear you earn along the way. To maximise earnings, it is better to be in a group.
• Boss Farms – Similarly boss farms such as Sothis, Glob etc. are a good way to earn gold via salvaging gear and other valuable items*. Again, to maximise earnings, it is better to be in a group.
