New World Aeternum Weapon XP Farm Locations and Tips Guide

Do you want to level your weapons faster in New World Aeternum? Here are some places you can go to to get decent Weapon XP for your weapons as well as some general tips and considerations.

For those wanting to solo level their Weapon XP, I would recommend the Thorpe farm or Restless Shore farm. If you want to double up on your time (eg. farm gold, gear or rare mats) or semi-AFK farm, I would recommend joining any large group boss farm happening on your server or even an ECR. I have examples of both types of farms below.

Note for PC Players – All of the Weapon XP farm locations in this guide are accessible if you do not own Rise of the Angry Earth (if you bought New World Aeternum after October 2024, Rise of the Angry Earth is included).

Solo Friendly Weapon XP Farms

Here are some solo or small group farms for those who just want to grind their Weapon XP. You do not have to be max level to go to these locations.

Great Cleave – Battleclast Crossing (Thorpe Farm)

Thorpe is one of the better known Weapon XP farms. Located in Great Cleave, it is a mini event where you kill waves of mobs then Thorpe spawns through a Portal. Killing Thorpe can give a very large amount of Weapon XP depending on how many people are around. So this a probably one of the better Weapon XP farms if Weapon XP is the only thing you’re interested in.

This farm can be done solo but if there are other players around, it is better to group with them to maximise your Weapon XP earnings.

Battleclast Crossing (Thorpe) is located in northern Great Cleave. The closest Fast Travel is Battleclast Shrine.

Restless Shore – Channelview Post and Oceanview Post POI Farm

This is a simple soloable mob farm where you go between two POI’s (places of interest) and kill all the mobs in each one. Group as many mobs as you feel comfortable with and go for it. The mobs have a fairly quick respawn time, so by the time you’ve cleared one POI you can move to other POI and the mobs will have respawned.

This POI farm is located in northern Restless Shore. The closest Fast Travel Points are Shrine of Sisyphos and Shiresad Shrine.

Various Boss and POI Farms

If you are looking to farm particular items and gold as well as get Weapon XP, then boss farms are a great way to double up and get more value for your time. The more players around, the faster mobs respawn. You will generally get more Weapon XP (and loot) if you are in a raid group (it also means you can semi-AFK ie. you don’t have to pay as much attention to what is happening but still benefit).

Some common examples of Boss and POI farms include Sobrik, Glob, Lifering, Baines (and other trophy fragment farm bosses). Some of these are better than others depending on what your goals are. You will need to be around Level 60 or higher for these farms as all the mobs and bosses are Level 60 or higher.

Sobrik Mini-Boss Farm – Sopdu Hot Springs – Brimstone Sands

This is a new boss farm that has only started up in the past couple of months but has proven to be fairly popular. The primary aim of this farm is get gold and fragments for crafting. The two bosses respawn very fast and it is a decent semi-AFK farm. However, in my experience, I found getting Weapon XP very hit and miss (even in a raid group) compared to other farms in this section of the guide.

I would only recommend this if you are more interested in Gold and Fragments than Weapon XP or if you want a semi-AFK farm.

Sobrik is located in eastern Brimstone Sands at the Sopdu Hot Springs POI. The closest Fast Travel is Shrine of Bast.

Glob POI Farm – Castrum Kerberos – Brimstone Sands

While the primary focus of this POI farm is to farm the Ancient Glob of Ectoplasm resource (used for Runeglass crafting and fairly valuable), it is also a great Weapon XP Farm. When there’s lots of players, the mobs in the area respawn very fast and drop plenty of loot. This is an excellent farm for both Weapon XP and Gold giving you more value for your time!

The main focus of the farm is on the Boss and the hounds in the pit with plenty of other mobs spawning close by. Some players will even drag mobs from further away to the raid group. Definitely join a raid group for this farm to maximise Weapon XP, Gold and loot gains.

The Glob farm is located in western Brimstone Sands at the Castrum Kerberos POI. The closest Fast Travel is Saboteur’s Shrine.

Baines Boss Farm – Spire Perilous – Edengrove

This is a decent farm if you’re after Glowing Sap Shard (Angry Earth Trophy Fragments) or Woodgrain gear. Baines can have a fairly fast respawn time. However, I found I was getting more Weapon XP from nearby mobs than from Baines. So again a nice double up farm but probably not as good as Glob.

Baines is located in Edengrove at the top of the Spire Perilous POI. The closest Fast Travel is Elysian Shrine.

Lifering Boss Farm – Tor To-Riven – Edengrove

As the name suggests, the purpose of this farm is to farm Lifering gear (also drops Woodgrain). It is a boss event where waves of mobs and some bosses will spawn. The event, once completed, has a 6 minute respawn timer. The mobs give large amounts of Weapon XP making this a great farm despite the long respawn time. This is also one of the few farms where you get more Weapon XP if you are NOT in a raid group.

The Lifering farm is located in the Tor To-Riven POI in eastern Edengrove. The closest Fast Travel is Elysian Shrine.

Elite Chest Runs

Elite Chest Runs (ECRs) are a passive way to get easy weapon XP while you farm gear and Gold as long as you are in a raid group. Some ECRs well be global tours (going to literally every ECR POI) while other may just be one POI/area (eg. Myrk, Imp or CK). Here is an example of how ECRs are advertised (on my server anyway).

Here is a full list of ECR POI’s (based on my server), categorised by zone, with the abbreviation and full POI or area name.

Keep in mind that Corrupted Portal mobs usually do not give Weapon XP. So while doing Myrk, focus on mobs.
