While Season 10 Nighthaven is a FREE update to New World Aeternum, there are still some requirements that need to be met to access the new zone and the MSQ. This guide details all the known requirements to access Nighthaven.
How to access the Nighthaven MSQ
The Community Manager, Lydia on Discord and Katy on Twitter have both confirmed that players will only need to be level 65 to gain access to the MSQ. The quest will be unlocked and appear on the Map when you are level 65 regardless if you have completed the rest of the MSQ or not. However, since the Nighthaven story is a continuation of the Rise of the Angry Earth story, it is recommend that you do complete it first.
Based off the October Dev Update video (quest log on screen), the location of the Nighthaven starter quest might be at Gorgon’s Landing in Cutlass Keys.
Do you need The Rise of the Angry Earth DLC to access Nighthaven?
Yes. You can not get to Level 65 unless you have the RotAE DLC. Console players already have the RotAE DLC so will have access to Nighthaven. PC players who purchased New World before October 2024, will need to purchase the RotAE DLC to get to Level 65 and gain access to Nighthaven. If you have a Mount and access to the Elysian Wilds zone, then you own the RotAE DLC.
PC players who are still unsure if they have access to the RotAE DLC can check by going to the New World Aeternum Store Page on Steam. Click on ‘Rise of the Angry Earth’ (under Content). If the green ‘In Library’ bar DOES NOT appear, than you do not own the DLC.
